Assignment Reminders
Your homework this week will be connected to the unit on the election. Please research in the newspaper and online for information on the electoral process and the election in New Mexico and the United States. Please look for information on the importance of New Mexico as a swing state, the Electoral College, and the election in general. Please, if possible, print a page or two of what you find online, or cut the article out of the newspaper or magazine, or bring the newspaper or magazine to school. One is due each day: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Science book report - due monday 11/3
You have read a science book from the school library.
Your “reading log” homework this week is to make a graphic presentation about the book and write one paragraph.
Please prepare on poster board, or by making a three dimensional model, a drawing/diagram or model to explain some aspect of the book. (So you may choose the whole book or part of it for this project.) This must be titled and labeled to show the important characteristics.
Your project needs to include one written paragraph explaining what you have learned from the book and what your drawing/diagram or model shows. Please use correct grammar and paragraph format. You may wish to write more than one paragraph for extra credit.
This homework should not take more than two hours. If you wish to take longer, please do, but there is no need to take longer. It does not have to be perfect!!!
