The WG PTC created and will maintain this page to provide information concerning the SFPS Board of Education (BOE) Election... which will be held Feb. 1, 2011. This election will be important for all of us as Parents to select District Reps that we feel will represent our priorities, spend our money wisely, and help our children get the best education possible.

This page will contain general information on candidates and the issues facing the District in the recent past and future. As a 501c3 non-profit we CANNOT endorse any candidate over the other or participate in campaigns using PTC resources or tools, but will make every attempt to provide information to help all of us make informed choices when voting. If you have information, or a question, email me!

Geographic Information - YOUR District and where to vote

The Santa Fe School Board of Education consists of five members who serve four-year terms. They are elected in odd-numbered years by voters in five election districts.

BOE Districts do not follow school District boundaries exactly, in fact the Wood Gormley school district is half in BOE district 1 and half in BOE district 2 not counting all the people from other districts that attend WG as Transfers... We have an electronic .pdf version of the map so you can zoom in to see what BOE District you live in... so you know where to vote and who your Rep is.
