8th Annual Panther Run

8 am Saturday April 28th, 2012 - Kids 1k, 5k & 2 mile walk

Announcements

Event Details...

Plan to take an early season Saturday morning run with your favorite Wood-Gormley buddies! This is the 8th year of the Panther run and it is only getting better. This is a major fundraiser for our PE program, and a great community event. Come join the fun - and do the 1K, 5K run or 2 mile walk! It a great way to feel good about yourself, help the PE program and have a fun morning!

The 5k course (starts at 8:00am) is a nice out-and-back from Wood-Gormley, up Webber to Buena vista and over to Old Santa Fe Trail.... up to the Museums, and then back for a flying downhill finish. The 2 mile walk (starts right behind the runners) is along the same course, but has an earlier turnaround point. The kids' 1k (starts at 9:30) has one 'heat' per grade level and is a shorter route in the neighborhood streets around the school.

All kids get finisher medals, (not ribbons) with special medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place boys and girls in each grade level (K through 6th). Special awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female adults.
